The unique feature of this bed is the ability to offer not one, not two, but FOUR bed elevations. Under Bed Clearance can be adjusted to be 8, 10.5, 15.5, OR 18 Inches. You decide when you put it together. The Expedition Captains Bed has two, super heavy duty, solid wood end panels. Thick tongue & groove southern yellow pine, not thin plywood like most others. As is the case with all of our beds, a foundation or boxspring is NOT required because we use 12 strong southern yellow pine bed slats to provide a solid foundation. This bed frame is super strong, durable, ecofriendly, AND we back it with a 10Year Warranty. This Bed is constructed of High Quality, Ecofriendly Southern Yellow Pine, and then we apply an Ecofriendly DARK Brownish Reddish Water based Stain to the Bed. PLEASE NOTE: The product is given color through the staining process, but we DO NOT apply any type of Clear Protective Top Coat to the product. Please contact us for clarification of the staining process if you have questions, as this will not be the same as a finished product. We offer this as an alternative to Unfinished to save you some legwork, and as a means to give the product Color. To touch, the product will FEEL the same as unfinished wood. This is helpful if you do not have the space or time to finish something yourself, or if you enjoy the non-toxic properties of our product, but do not want it to be completely unfinished. NO Preservatives; Clean Solid Wood with a Water Based Ecofriendly Stain. No top coat, flat matt finish.
