This contemporary reproduction piece is bold and dramatic with its large size, red and black color scheme and fine, ornate carvings of traditional Chinese iconography. Its two doors open to reveal its large main storage area which is divided by two removable shelves for added flexibility. The four bottom drawers are large and deep for additional storage. This reproduction piece is made of solid elm and constructed using the traditional Chinese furniture building and carpentry techniques. The finish is black and red lacquer with a distressed patina finish that adds lots of character. This piece of furniture is an excellent value. It features all solid wood construction and contains none of the nails, staples, particleboard, veneer or masonite found on many pricier pieces of modern furniture.
